COAL RIVER VALLEY
Just 30kms north east of Hobart in the Coal River Valley we discovered this unique site. Sitting below the imposing Mount Lord, with views over Pitt Water, the property is beautiful, rugged and somewhat daunting. Proprietor, Robert Hill Smith and winemaker Louisa Rose, intrinsically linked with Eden Valley Riesling, had tasted and talked about Tasmanian Riesling on many occasions over many years.
